Oh, Boy!

Not long after my husband left for Afghanistan, I found out I was pregnant. He and I were both so excited! After he came home, I had several “threatened miscarriages” that we prayed would stop happening. God heard and answered our prayers. Currently, I’m almost 23 weeks pregnant with our 2nd baby, and haven’t had any more complications. A little over a week ago, we found out that we are having a little baby BOY!!

We are so excited to be welcoming Gregory James Heise into our little family! He’s expected to arrive July 4, 2016. Only a few more weeks to go!

Life From The Beach

Sunday, July 7, 2013: I moved to Florida.

Yep, you read that right. Currently, I’m living in Navarre, FL with my sister Jennifer, her 2 kids (Zack and Alyssa), her fiancée (Chris), and her fiancée’s parents (Steve and Suzie).

Monday (the 8th) and Tuesday (the 9th) were my job-hunting days. We went all over Navarre and picked up applications, then we went to the Santa Rosa mall and picked up some applications there as well. However, I was still looking on Craigslist for a job (just in case I’d missed a place that was hiring). I saw that there was a housekeeping position available at the Hampton Inn, but I noticed that it had been posted over a month ago. I gave them a call to see if the position was still open. The receptionist said “Of course! Just come on in, fill out an application and we’ll interview you today so you can start as soon as possible.” So I got dressed and ready, then headed over to the hotel.

I filled out the application, then waited for a lady named Darla to come interview me. Turns out, she’s from Texas too! (Maybe I won’t be made fun of for saying y’all! Lol) She was really nice and very funny. Long story short, I got the job! I went and had my drug test done, then went home to fill out the rest of my paperwork. As soon as it’s turned in by Friday, I’ll be able to start on Friday or Saturday. I’m so excited! The shifts are 8-12 hrs, and it’s very easy to earn overtime. Today, I get to turn all my paperwork back in, get my uniform (light blue “Hampton Inn” polo, khakis, and tennis shoes), and find out when my first day will be.

Anyways, enough about the job. Since I’ve been here, it’s either been REALLY hot or REALLY rainy. My room is flooded with bright sunlight at 6am, then goes completely dark before 9pm. Florida is very different, compared to Texas. But…I like it! 🙂 Jennifer said that this weekend (if it’s not raining), we should go to the beach. Gotta say, when I came here in June, the water felt wonderful! It’s so beautiful here! I’ll try to upload some pics later. Gonna go turn in all my paperwork now. I’ll blog more later.

Take Me With You!!

About two weeks ago, Jasper (my adorable puppy) jumped all the way into my car for the first time. He’s tried several times before, but either his legs were too short or his gut got in the way. I put my keys down for a second to find something in my purse. Then I looked up and saw Jasper running to my car with my keys in his mouth. I opened the door, he jumped in, sat down, dropped my keys in the seat and just stared at me.

I took him out of the car and put him on the ground while I go in. I was still buckling my seatbelt and he’d already hopped back into my lap. Everytime I took him out of the car, he started crying. Apparently he REALLY wanted to go with me. What a rotten…uh, I mean CUTE…puppy! ❤

Senior Finale

Since the last time I blogged, 2 things have become official..#1: I became an adult (my voting card came in the mail a few days ago, so I’m excited and ready to vote!) and #2: My senior year is over halfway finished! Today, I started my last semester at JCCE. Gotta say, it’s gonna be hard saying goodbye to all the friends that I made there! This semester, I’m taking Hymn Photography, Drama, and PE. We had a prom meeting today, so that’s something exciting to look forward to (I hope I get to go). My last day of homeschool is May 17th, and graduation is June 1st. I’m sure I’ll be posting some Senior pics soon! Anyways, I’m gonna go..thanks for checking out my blog! 🙂
