This week I asked you to describe what you would do with an extra four hours today. Here are a few replies that I received.

“Oh my soul! I read this email at the perfect time! I have been babysitting all day! I woke up at 5:30 this morning and got done at 3:30! Watching two two-year-olds! All I can think about right now is SLEEP!!!!!!! So that is exactly what I would do with an extra four hours!”

“Considering I didn’t sleep last night, I vote for a nap.”

“Catch-up (on sleep, work, fun and family time). I guess that’s a sign there is too much going on.”

“What I would do is called sleep. It has become foreign to me.”

I guess I’m not the only one that feels a little tired this week. Lucky for us, we get to sleep-in a little tomorrow. Don’t be lazy though. If you need to do something, do it. Don’t just sleep your life away. You wouldn’t want to be known as a lazy bum. I hope you have a great weekend.

I actually have a challenge for you. This weekend, I encourage you to do something that you’ve never done before. Try a new recipe. Build an erupting volcano. Eat something that you’ve been scared to try before. Whatever you do, let your family be a part of it. Let them help you or taste-test your new recipe. Take pictures! Have fun and be safe!

Thanks for checking out my blog today!

Peace. Love. Cheryl.

This week, I asked the questions, “What do you think is the world’s biggest problem? If you could, how would you fix it?” Here are my top 5 answers….

“A good friend in Ecuador once said if everyone would just do what they ought to do, the world’s problems would disappear. Seriously, the problem is sin and the answer is Jesus.”

“Capitalism….not sure how I’d fix that one.” (By the way, this was a Marine’s reply)

“Debt…It would be great if they wiped away everyone’s debt and gave them a clean slate every seven years. Maybe a year of jubilee?”

“Man’s incompetence is a pretty bad world-wide problem. That’s nothing a good slap or two upside the head can’t fix.”

“The answer to your questions would be: Sin. And there is no way I can fix it….no one can except (you guessed it!) God!!!!”

This week, I included five answers because it was too hard to choose my top 3. Anyways, thanks for taking time to read my blog today. Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

This past week, I asked the question, “What do you think is the most destructive force to mankind?” These are my top answers….

“In my opinion it would be our depraved nature. From the beginning of creation it has been our own fault for all the trouble anyone has ever gotten in. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says God will provide a way of escape for any temptation anyone is faced with. It was also the problem in Genesis 6. Therefore it is man’s depraved nature that is the culprit. To quote from Pastor Bob Gray II, “You’re depravity is showing.”. :)”

“In my opinion, the most destructive force to mankind is selfishness. We pursue what gives us pleasure and lose sight of what matters. The longer this behavioral pattern enslaves us the further we deviate from God’s plan and the more destructive we become to ourselves and to others.”

“Man’s own ignorance, careless activities, and hurricanes. Death is also a pretty destructive force to mankind…haha :)”

Other answers that I received included humanism, pride, prejudice, hate, anger, sin, and even himself.

To all of you that took the time to emeil me your responses, THANK YOU! Be sure to check back on the blog soon for another post. That’s it for now. Enjoy the remainder of your weekend. Be sure to be at church on Sunday. If you currently don’t attend church, you are personally invited to join me this Sunday at Fundamental Baptist Church. I look forward to seeing you there. Y’all have a good one!

Last week, I took a survey. I asked the question, “If you could have the attention of the entire world for two minutes, what would you say?” These are the top 3 answers….

“Obviously, I would share the Gospel of Christ and then if there were time, I would tell them to take the time to enjoy their family and just be happy with God has given them.”

“What a concept! Obviously as one who is saved I would share my testimony of my salvation, and how they could know Him and have eternal life, emphasizing how He saves from the guttermost to the uttermost. We can actually TALK to our Savior! I would have to talk FAST! Then I would tell them that we really are our brothers keeper, and we should love one another and care for each other in spite of cultural differences. Then with a few seconds left I would try to apologize to everyone I had hurt or done wrong things to in my past, whether intentionally or by accident. I would really have to write everything out to be sure I could get everything said in my allotted time frame. I would start off as I always do, thanking God for loving me and saving my soul and for blessing me with my family. “

“I would tell the world of Jesus and what He’s done for me; His love, mercy & grace… & His imminent return for all who’ve placed their faith in Him.”

Other people said that they wouldn’t even know where to begin. Some had no idea what they would say. I believe this is a topic that we all should consider. The main things you can’t wait to tell other people about are usually the things that mean the most to you. I hope this topic has challenged you, and I hope you will come back to read my blog again soon. Thanks for taking the time to stop by today, Have a good-un’.
